Sri Sathya Sai Balagurukulam Matriculation School was started in a small way,wayback in the year 1979 for the benefit of poverty stricken rural poor,keeping with the ideals and teachings of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.With the Divine Blessings and guidance of our Beloved Bhagawan the school has grown over the years into a model institution, imparting value education, besides the regular academic curriculum. In the year 1982, it has come into its own present premises at Sivalaperi road, Palayamkottai and caters to 21 villages around providing value based education.With this aim, few devotees of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba,under the presidentship of Sri.P.S.Jeganatha Raja, established a committee in the name of Sri athya Sai Educational Committee to effectively administer the school. It was duly registered as public charitable society in the year 1984 under Society's act.

Mission

The education mission of the school is reflected in the motto of the school,"Sathyam Vada Dharmam Chara".Students who enter the portals of temple of learning should leave it with the confidence,to lead a life of righteousness and high moral methods,besides being self-reliant

Right to Education

The RTE Act is implemented in our school and students are admitted following Govt. norms and presently there are 69 students are on roll from LKG to STD.V.Besides the challenging academic stream the school also lays stress on the indispensable aspects of personality development, such as yoga, meditation, universal prayer,confidence-building skills like public speaking, art, craft, computers, dramatics, dance, music and grama seva-all these with love and reverence as the bottom line. Encouraging students to be positive, take responsibility and practice selfless service.

Atal Tinkering Lab

With a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators’, Atal Innovation Mission is establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). ATL would contain educational and learning ‘do it yourself’ kits and equipment on – science, electronics, robotics, open source microcontroller boards, sensors and 3D printers and computers. Other desirable facilities include meeting rooms and video conferencing facility. In order to foster inventiveness among students, ATL can conduct different activities ranging from regional and national level competitions, exhibitions, workshops on problem solving, designing and fabrication of products, lecture series etc. at periodic intervals.

ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Various endowment scholarships are awarded to economically backward students towards payment of fees, books,notebooks and uniforms.We set standards and goals for ourselves and strive to achieve them – be it in the area of academics,sports,discipline,leadership and more.Each year , the School holds the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony to honour those of its students who have made the school proud with their brilliant efforts not only in the academic field but also in the co-curricular areas.The Sri Sathya Sai Integral Education demonstrates the dynamic nature of our school our commitment to Academic excellence with Character building and our relentless pursuit of achieving our best.Our teachers are reflective and responsive to student needs and there is quality commitment from our school management.
